People often ask me what I love about tutoring, and I would have to say that a pupil having that ‘eureka’ moment when you have taught them a new concept or skill that they now understand is just the best feeling in the world.  I have worked with both secondary and primary children to help them make rapid progress, become more confident and learn to love Mathematics and English, and to watch them flourish with something that previously they had found stressful and difficult is so rewarding.

Along with my love for learning, I also enjoy a variety of hobbies in my spare time.  I love to travel and see the world, and I have a love for anything crafty such as crochet and sewing.  My two little fur babies Poppy and Fudge love to walk quite a lot, and I enjoy nothing more in a morning than a swim at my local pool followed by a walk with the dogs.

I have been teaching for the last 22 years in and around Leicestershire. I have held many roles including head of department, team leader of teaching and learning and leader of newly qualified teachers.

I graduated in 2022 from Loughborough University with a degree in Chemistry and a PGCE. My qualifications have enabled me to many extra educational jobs including exam marking for AQA and an exam team leader for EDEXCEL.

In my spare time I still enjoy playing rugby and I also race model cars.
